2017 Series
To make L'Aperitivo bigger and better, its 2017 series will be featuring culinary highlights that will truly capture authentic Italian culinary and dining. Its 2017 series kicked off with the theme - "Special Pastas Night" which featured twenty (20) different types of pastas from all over the regions of Italy. More themed events will come so stay tuned!
How it all started?
Upon being elected as the President of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines, Inc., Mr. Sergio Boero came up with an idea to hold a social networking event featuring only the best and finest Italian food and wines in a place with exquisite atmosphere and company that would truly represent authentic Italian style and living. Thus, on July 22, 2015, the first L'Aperitivo Italiano was held at Seda Hotel BGC. One after another, L'Aperitivo Italiano continuously sets the bar in networking events around the metro.
History
Aperitivo comes from "aprire" which means 'to open' meaning to open or to stimulate the appetite. The most common drinks during an Aperitivo are simply red and white wines from Italy, and various other drinks and mixers like Prosecco, Spritz, Campari, Bellini and many others. Italians love having this pre-dinner drink accompanied with various antipasti, cold cuts like Parma-ham, Milano-salami, various sausages, parmesan cheese with other mixed cheese plates, mini pizzas (pizzette), Caprese and other cold salads, preserved vegetables such as mini onions, bell peppers and other local delicacies.
